How self-builders use it

Before you commit to a design or a builder, you need to know whether the budget works. A cost plan prices the materials from your drawings, and with the labour option adds labour from your own builder's rates or quotes, so you see the whole picture.

We can price two or three scope options side by side, so you can see what a change of specification costs. It is a budgeting tool, not a quote and not a QS report: check it, and get quotes from your builder before you commit.

Send the PDFs. We confirm the fixed price and date, and you pay by card through Stripe.

We measure

Areas and lengths come from the drawing's own lines. We check the scale on every sheet and flag errors.

We price

Each material is priced from a Bradfords, Selco or Wickes product page, with the link in the workbook.

You check it

You get an Excel workbook with low, mid and high totals, built so you can check every line.

Is this a quote for the build?
No. It is an estimate for budgeting. Get quotes from your builder before you commit.
Can my lender or mortgage valuer rely on it?
No. Lenders need a chartered quantity surveyor. Our figures are for your own budgeting.
Are you quantity surveyors?
No. We are not chartered and not regulated by RICS. We produce estimates for budgeting and design decisions. If a lender, insurer, funder, tender or contract will rely on the figures, use a chartered quantity surveyor.
Who is responsible for the figures?
You are, once you use them. You must check every quantity and price before you rely on or share them. Our liability is limited to the fee you paid. The full position is in our terms of business.
